Pasta Shells With Ground Beef

Ingredients

1 pound of ground beef

Seasoning ° Sazon-Perfecta”, recipe at bottom, to taste

1 Tablespoon minced garlic

1 medium sized garlic clove

2 cups of medium-sized pasta shells

4 cups of water

2 teaspoons of chicken broth powder

4 teaspoons tomato broth powder

3 Serrano Peppers, finely chopped, optional

1 Onion, chopped, yellow is the strongest

1 can Rotel, your choice of spiciness

Garlic Powder, to taste

Onion Powder, to taste

Fresh Ground Black Pepper, to taste

Fresh Ground Pink Himalayan Salt, to taste

2 Tablespoons Italian Seasoning, OPTIONAL!

Homemade Sazon Seasoning Mix

1 tablespoon ground coriander

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 tablespoon ground anatto seeds (achiote) or turmeric

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon kosher salt

2 teaspoons oregano

1 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

Combine all ingredients and mix well.

Store in an airtight container.

1 1/2 teaspoons of this mix equals one packet of commercial sazon.

How to make it

Fry ground beef with minced garlic, black pepper and Saazon Perfecta seasoning to start the preparation.

Rinse fat from cooked ground beef.

In a large pot add the pasta shells, water, granulated chicken stock, diced Serrano chilies, granulated tomato stock, and a handful of chopped cilantro – if you can tolerate it.

Adjust the amount of garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper to your preference.

Finally, cook over medium-high heat until pasta softens.

Serve
