Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 packet of ranch salad dressing mix
  • 2 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1 10.5-ounce can of condensed cream of chicken soup, not diluted
  • 1 8-ounce package of cream cheese, softened and cut into cubes
  • Hot cooked noodles or rice for serving
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheddar cheese crumbled cooked bacon, and chopped green onions

Instructions

  • In a 4- or 5-quart slow cooker, mix together the chicken broth and ranch dressing mix, then add the chicken breasts. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours. Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a cutting board, shred it using two forks, and return it to the slow cooker.
  • Stir in the condensed cream of chicken soup and the cubed cream cheese. Cover again and continue cooking on low for about 30 minutes, or until the cream cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth. Serve the mixture over hot cooked noodles or rice, and top with shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions if desired.
