Ingredients
  

  • Cooking spray
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • ¾ cup French-fried onions
  • ¾ cup bread crumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 1 ounce package French onion soup mix
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray, then spread the ketchup and brown sugar evenly over the bottom.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, French-fried onions, bread crumbs, eggs, sour cream, milk, soup mix, garlic, salt, pepper, and ginger. Mix thoroughly, then shape the mixture into a loaf and place it over the ketchup and brown sugar in the pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the center is no longer pink. Use an instant-read thermometer to check; the internal temperature should reach at least 160°F (70°C).
