Ingredients
  

  • 4 tablespoons 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 small sweet onion sliced into thin wedges
  • 1 medium red potato unpeeled and diced into 1/2-3/4 inch pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 3 strips of bacon cooked until crisp and sliced thinly
  • 1 small clove garlic finely minced (or pressed using a garlic press)
  • 1 tablespoon Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing or Dips Mix either option works
  • 1 14.5 oz. can of green beans, drained
  • Additional pepper to taste
  • *Salt if needed, after tasting

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan or small frying pan, melt the butter. Add the onion, diced potato, and black pepper, and sauté over medium heat until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork. (Cover the pan with a lid and stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.)
  • Stir in the bacon, minced garlic, and Ranch Mix until well combined.
  • Gently fold in the green beans and cook, letting the mixture heat through. Simmer while stirring occasionally, being careful not to break the green beans.
  • Season with additional pepper to taste. Add salt only if needed, as Ranch Mixes are naturally salty.
