Total Time 25 minutes mins
- 4 tablespoons 1/2 stick butter
- 1 small sweet onion sliced into thin wedges
- 1 medium red potato unpeeled and diced into 1/2-3/4 inch pieces
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
- 3 strips of bacon cooked until crisp and sliced thinly
- 1 small clove garlic finely minced (or pressed using a garlic press)
- 1 tablespoon Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing or Dips Mix either option works
- 1 14.5 oz. can of green beans, drained
- Additional pepper to taste
- *Salt if needed, after tasting
In a medium saucepan or small frying pan, melt the butter. Add the onion, diced potato, and black pepper, and sauté over medium heat until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork. (Cover the pan with a lid and stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.)
Stir in the bacon, minced garlic, and Ranch Mix until well combined.
Gently fold in the green beans and cook, letting the mixture heat through. Simmer while stirring occasionally, being careful not to break the green beans.
Season with additional pepper to taste. Add salt only if needed, as Ranch Mixes are naturally salty.
