Ingredients

For the Crust

  • ▢ 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ▢ 3 tablespoons light brown sugar packed
  • ▢ 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ▢ 7 tablespoons unsalted butter melted

For the Filling

  • ▢ 1 package cream cheese softened (8 ounces)
  • ▢ ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ▢ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ▢ 1 container Cool Whip thawed (16 ounces), divided
  • ▢ 2 cans apple pie filling 21 ounces each
  • ▢ ¼ cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • For the crust, mix the graham cracker crumbs with brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until the crumbs are well coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 13×9 baking dish and freeze while preparing the filling.
  • For the filling, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Gently fold in half of the Cool Whip (8 ounces) and spread this mixture over the frozen crust.
  • Spoon the apple pie filling over the cream cheese layer, spreading the apple slices evenly.
  • Top with the remaining Cool Whip. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Before serving, sprinkle with chopped pecans, if desired. Serve chilled.

Notes

Serve with a drizzle of caramel sauce if desired.
For a sweeter crust, consider swapping the graham crackers for Golden Oreos or vanilla wafers.
To achieve clean slices, use a sharp knife and wipe it between slices, or freeze the dessert for an hour before slicing.
Storage: Keep the apple delight covered and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Freezing: Cover the dessert with plastic wrap, then foil, and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
