Total Time 7 minutes mins
- 1 slice of bread
- 2 teaspoons of mayonnaise
- 1 slice of cheese
- 1 beef frank
This is a simple recipe with just a few steps, but there are a couple of tips and tricks that will make it easier. Start by taking a slice of bread and spreading a thin layer of mayonnaise or butter on one side. On the other side, place a slice of cheese. Then, place a hot dog on top of the cheese and gently roll the bread around it, essentially wrapping it up. Use two toothpicks (or sometimes three) to secure the ends of the sandwich around the hot dog.
Next, depending on your air fryer model, either preheat it to 375°F or set it directly to 375°F if preheating isn't required. Carefully place the wrapped sandwiches in the air fryer, making sure not to overcrowd them. My air fryer can hold about four at a time without touching, but older models may only fit two.
Air fry the hot dogs for about 3-4 minutes. If they’re not done after 4 minutes, continue cooking in 1-minute increments until they reach the desired crispiness. Once done, remove them from the air fryer and serve immediately with ketchup, mustard, or any dipping sauce of your choice.
