TENNESSEE PEACH PUDDING

Ingredients :

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 T baking powder
  • ¾ t sea salt
  • ¾ t ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 cups peeled, sliced fresh or thawed frozen peaches

Topping :
2 cups water
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
3 T unsalted butter
½ t ground nutmeg

Directions :

Preheat stove to 375 degrees F.

In a large bowl, join the flour, sugar, heating powder, salt, and cinnamon.

Mix in the milk until combined.

Crease in the peaches and spread into a lubed heating dish.

For the fixing, join the water, sugars, margarine, and nutmeg in a pot.

Heat to the point of boiling, mixing until sugars have disintegrated.

Pour over the peach blend in the heating dish.

Spot in broiler and prepare until filling is effervescent and the top is brilliant brown, around 40 to 45 minutes.

Serve warm with vanilla frozen yogurt, whipped cream, or downright.
